Solo dinners near theater district

TPK | Feb 24, 202010:19 AM     5

Where would you go for dinner solo before a show? I'm from San Francisco and will be seeing 3 evening shows mid-March (MRouge, Virginia Woolf, Six) and would like to walk-in (no res) and sit at the bar/counter if possible. Not picky as to cuisine, but probably not Japanese or Chinese. For reference I enjoyed my dinner at Don Angie last fall. Delfina, Zuni are longtime faves here in SF. Something lively and fun, but not packed and hectic if that means anything. Around $40-50 w/o tax, tip, alcohol.
