Solo diner visiting for 2 nights, no car--help!

Hungryin theBurbs | Sep 18, 201106:32 PM

Hello Bostonians. I am going to be in town for business next Thursday and Friday and looking for some good chow. I fly in Thursday at about 6 p.m., and I'm staying at the Sheraton Commander in Harvard Square. I assume I'm best off taking public transportation rather than a cab, so any suggestions for a good stop along the way? Then on Friday, I'm interested in a good breakfast place near the hotel, and some kind of dinner plan.

I'm looking for great food in a comfortable atmosphere for a solo middle-aged female diner--possibly at a bar? Something close-ish to the hotel would be great, but I know that limits me. I can get great Italian and Mexican here, so less interested in those. Seafood is always good, but any creative,well-made cuisine is fine with me.

Thanks for any help!
