Solo Diner in DC, how's my list?

I'll be staying in Herndon, VA and according to mapquest most of my choices are about a half hour away.

Thursday night: Ray's the Steaks. Just wanted to make sure they're still at 1725 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington? Any rec's on what to get there? I'm planning on getting here right around 6pm in hopes of avoiding a wait. I'll be too tired to do anything else this night.

Friday: I have this day free and was going to visit the Newseum and have lunch there. For dinner I was thinking Amsterdam Falafel or Queen Makada, depending on what I'm in the mood for.
I'm having the most trouble trying to decide what to do after dinner Friday night. I'm a male in my late 20's, married, not particularly trendy or hip, and I'm not sure what bar would work well for me.

Saturday I was thinking Colorado Kitchen for Brunch or Oyamel for lunch. I'll be leaving for home mid afternoon.

Let me know what you think of my choices and if any of these places wouldn't be good for a solo diner. I'd also like to know if there is somewhere else you recommend I try. Any help for Friday night would be great too.
