Sojourner Cafe - Report

LesThePress | Dec 5, 200510:20 AM

We went to the Sojourn Café Sat. as discussed previously on this board. This is our report.

First, the party went from 10 to 7, so it was much more manageable. We had 6pm reservations but showed up at 5:45. It was very crowded and they said weren’t ready for us since we were early and said it would be just a few moments as people were just finishing their meal. It was just about 5 minutes and we were seated, very acceptable and accommodating.

The table was very small for 7 people, but it actually was good in that we could easily talk to each other. The waiter was attentive in removing plates quickly so it actually worked out well.

The service, while a little on the slow side, was acceptable. The reason was probably due to how crowded it was more than to poor waiting. The waiter was familiar with all the items and answered our questions without having to check with the kitchen.

The food was very good; we all enjoyed what we ordered. A couple of turkey burgers, a cone salad, a veggie burger, a vegetable dish and I don’t remember the rest. Of course, the deserts were wonderful!! A most enjoyable meal…. And we made it to the theatre in plenty of time!

We will definitely be back next trip up. We plan next time to spend the night so we’ll probably do lunch at the Soj and a little more upscale place for dinner.

How’s Jill’s Place (AKA Shalhoobs)?
