Soggy oven-baked sweet potato fries

miamivores | Apr 30, 201604:34 AM     15

I made some sweet potato fries using the following recipe:

2 sweet potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
15g melted butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika

I bake the fries at 200°C for 25 minutes, turning them halfway through, and they turned out very soggy, like french fries that's been left out for too long.

My boyfriend said it could be due to the fact that I used both olive oil and butter. I want to ask if there is any other potential problem that could make them go soggy.

Thank you for your help.
