Take out soapbox

Zoe | Oct 15, 2003 06:33 PM

Have had several bad take out and delivery experiences. Stuff ordered and not included (Ambala last Saturday when I did a pick up run before watching the Women's Soccer) - big hole in the order, we only got one entree, an order of samosas which were very filling and the smallest containers of mango lassi and limeade - not the jumbo ones you get at the restaurant. When I looked at the bill, we hadn't been charged but the server had obviously not taken the order properly. A few nights before, ordered from Emporium Thai = used to be T.H.A.I on Westwood Blvd. Tom Kha Gai was delicious but the egg rolls were no better than frozen, satay inedible and mee krob tasted like Lucky Charms. Then Feast from the East, a favorite for years has slid down the hill of really rotten food - too much skin and grisle in the chicken salad a a dressing that was way too sweet.
The final misery was Chicken Express an old stand by - they sent up Chicken Korma without the Korma but covered in a non Korma sauce. I have been driven to cook at home since.
