Where would you take a snobby non-foodie for the "ultimate" (i.e. pricey and showey) lobster meal? The more useless the service, probably the better -- something to impress a gal with borrowed means rather than actual taste. Would a high tea, then dinner at the Ritz be the ticket?
Personally, I loved the out-of-towner recommendations previosly mentioned of coastal crab-shacks. But, trully, where would you take taste-blind in-laws? Folks who you were related to who wouldn't deign to wear a bib or pick for lobster meat ... Folks who never watched Julia Child's classic Lobster Hour?
