Snack bars

I'm looking for snack bars. Doubt there is much out there.

There's an article/review in now magazine this week on Gale's down on Eastern+Carlaw and it made me think about their proposition. They do snacks -- food that you can have between what could be called our three-squares-a-day. The portions aren't huge but neither is the bill. And it feels like real food, maybe stuff you could make yourself at home.

It seems that all we have here in the city are either 'proper' sit-down places or monogenous industrial QSRs and factory assemblyline food. Oh yeah, and not to forget tube steaks on the streets.

The closest thing I can think of are some of the restaurants in Splendid China Tower up in Markham, with a sit-down arrangement, small-ish meals, but not a food court.
