Restaurants & Bars

Smyrna, Cobb County, Georgia

The City of Smyrna has been redeveloping the old downtown area for several years now. Today we tried one of the new restaurants in The Village Green, on West Spring Street, between Atlanta Road and Smyrna City Hall.

The Village cafe and gourmet has been open about two months. All staff appeared to be Vietnamese. They offer sushi, french pastries, deli sandwiches, gourmet dinners, etc. according to their front door and their calling cards. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich and I had the sushi sampler A, which included salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. We shared our dessert and we each had sweet iced tea. Service was slightly inattentive, but the food was fantastic. They are open seven days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At 2pm there were a number of diners, so noon may be a problem. There are only 12 tables and 6 seats at the sushi bar.
