Smoothie making--noise issue?

sueatmo | Sep 3, 2011 01:53 PM

I've started making smoothies using an old Osterizer that seems to be doing a fine job. I put in the fruit, some protein powder, liquid and ice cubes. I love doing this! I have also started making them for Mr. Sueatmo. My concern is the noise level. I mean I'm doing this every day, and the noise is awful. I've resolved to set the thing on ice crush, drop in the ice cubes, and then stand as far away from the blender as I possibly can. Do any of you smoothie makers know which smoothie making machines can do a smoothie with less noise? I would think that making a smoothie every day with a really noisy machine might damage hearing. Thanks!
