Smokey Hollow BBQ - Laurel/Fulton

A few weeks ago I reported about the delicious BBQ pork & brisket I had at Smokey Hollow BBQ off of Rte 29 and 216. This weekend, I finally got to try their ribs.

The ribs, while meaty, were quite dry and had been hit with too much smoke for my preference. I couldn't really taste much of the sauce and seasonings as the smoke was so overpowering. The ribs were a bit tough and while the "gorilla" finishing sauce was spicy, it didn't really add much to the ribs.

Their sides of cole slaw and hush puppies were tasty, but I didn't care for their beans.

When I go back, I'll be avoiding the ribs and sticking to the pork or brisket. They've only been open a few weeks, so we'll see if they can consistently deliver with those dishes.
