Smoked Meat sources in New England? (exported to)

Has anyone found any sources of true Quebec-style smoked meat here in New England, either made on premises, or exported from?
I have had the unfortunate experience of having Schwartz's finest confiscated at the border at Customs, so for me, this has been a long term search for any reasonably local supplier.
I know that Lester's Deli in Outremont( will vacuum pack and export to the US.
The Smoked Meat offered in the Hannaford's Supermarket chain's deli section is God awful, with no detectable flavor resembling anything I have sampled in Montreal.
Any suggestions, Chowhounders?
