Smithsonian or Adams Morgan recomendations

Shameless | Nov 25, 2004 01:48 AM

I am going to be spending Friday at the Smithsonian and was looking for a good place for dinner after a day of waiting in lines at our nation's treasures.

Casual, Moderate, Good and Local are my main criteria.

I will obviously be around the Smithsonian so it would be good to stick around there, but I have also heard good things about Adams Morgan. I haven't been to DC since I was a child and will be there with my wife's parents. Food is more important than atmosphere, but florescent lights might be going to far.

We live in the Mission district of San Francisco if that helps.

Ethnic is also cool, but not Thai or Chinese unless it is with a twist. I think we would like something more unique if that makes sense.
