Made all of my cookie batters (except meringues) the same day, then refrigerated them. This gave me the opportunity to bake them when it was convenient. This way, the kitchen (flour everywhere) got messy only once, not every day! I'll definitely repeat this technique.
Didn't crush up my peppermint candy canes small enough for my meringue cookies. The larger pieces of peppermint melted and "bled" in spots. Next time I will pulverize them.
