Sloppy Joe Report

The recent chatter about sloppy joes inspired me last night. I used the EveryDay Food recipe as a base but quickly digressed when I realized that my Worchestshire (sp) sauce was actually Hoisin sauce. Sauteed ground beef added onions and garlic, followed by the Hoisin Sauce which I tried balancing out with soy sauce. I then added lots of Frank's Hot Sauce, cider vinegar brown sugar and cumin. Tomato Puree and Paste and 3/4 bottle of dark beer. Let it simmer about an hour. Served with sweet cornbread. Ended up like a mix between chili and sloppy joes but was really delicious. The Hoisin sauce actually worked out. Next time I will try with the W sauce instead of Hoisin
