SKOOTERs in Windsor Locks

Just wanted to drop a line saying that I went to this little joint up by the airport last night. I had posed a "anyone been to SKOOTERS" post on here a while back and no one I braved it without the help of CHOWHOUND.

This is a 50's throwback diner. I believe the building used to house a fast food place (can't remember which). They have the basics: burgers, dogs, chicken sandwich, breakfast etc.

You must order at the end of the counter and a waitress brings your order out. I thought that was kind of odd but...whatever.

The hotdogs are nothing to write home about...chubby non-snappy dogs. The burgers looked great though...My companion ate one and thought it was quite tasty especially with the "famous fried onions".
The best thing I sampled was the onion rings which are made to order. They were very good!! Don't bother with a shake....very much like MCDonalds.

one thing...the food is really cheap!!
