Ski Town In New England with Best Food- URGENT

Please, please, please assist me in planning a very impromptu long weekend get away to a wintery town in either MA, VT, or NH. What with all the round the clock baking, holiday prep, and a grueling trial schedule that my husband has been enduring, we all need to get out of NYC for a bit of R and R or we will simply collapse :) A simple change of scenery will be super. I want to plan this by the end of business today and surprise my exhausted husband.

I say ski-town, but in actuality all we're really looking to do is some tubing/sledding as we have a two year old son. We stayed at a beautiful B and B in Bennington, VT a few years ago, but it was a bit too far removed from the action of nearby Wilmington (?) I believe. Williamstown, somewhere in the Berkshires, etc....No clue really, but a lot of charming little restaurants with GREAT FOOD is our first priority.

Closer to NY would be best, but we'll drive a bit more for that much better fare.

Thank you in advance and have a blessed holiday,
