Sitram Catering line is done

randallhank | Sep 22, 201610:36 PM     39

I haven't seen any sort of official announcement, but Sitram's signature Catering line appears to be running out the string here in the U.S. and perhaps overseas as well. I have seen this before and it doesn't end well, with Japanese liquidators buying up remaining stock and charging exorbitant prices on Amazon and eBay. It's a sad, unceremonious ending for one of the very best cookware lines to ever be made. I can't help but think it has some sort of cosmic significance. Those who know the cookware segment might understand this -- that something so simplistically and perfectly constructed couldn't possibly survive in this market. Sitram Catering provided a true benchmark in cookware. There were dozens of products below it, and just a handful of luxury products that could claim to be better.
