Sir Woody's BBQ in Homestead

Miami Danny | Jan 12, 2008 08:33 AM

I've been waiting for this piece to be published, and I apologize for the tardiness of this post, but after eating bbq (and oysters, shrimp, crab, etc.) up and down Mississippi and in Memphis for the last two weeks, I wanted to alert anyone heading to Homestead, or just bbq lovers in general, to Sir Woody's Barbecue, located on Southwest 344th Street (Palm Drive) near Krome Avenue. Open Friday and Saturday. Cash only. If he has a pork loin in his custom-made rig, buy the whole thing and count your blessings. Smoky and moist, ribs, chicken, and homemade sauce. If you can't go today, file this for next week-buy some produce if you like, and reward yourself with Sir Woody's meats. The actual paper has a great photo of Sir Woody (he deserves the honorific, you will see), but the online story is here... http://www.miamisunpost.com/011008bit...
