interest in Florida is low this time of year but I'll be spending a week at Ocean Pointe on Singer Island in late July. Walk the beach in the mornings, read during the afternoon storms and enjoy some good meals. I'm interested in food but I also want atmosphere, good design, excellent wine options.
Any thoughts? Cabana Las Palmas was suggested to me. I do like Cuban food so this would be fun. A Chowhound Search came up empty on this West Palm/ Clematis St. restaurant.
I've been going to Renatos for years so will probably go there for lunch and I've made reservations at Cafe Boulud. (Were they laughing when I called a month in advance? probably! )
Do places close for August? They certainly do in SW Florida where I make my home.
