Singapore and Siem Reap Reccs

morninglemon | Sep 20, 201810:23 AM     5

Heading on an HKG-SIN-REP trip next month, and I am completely over my head with the Singapore portion. It'll be my first time in SIN + REP. My heart is racing and my mouth salivating just at the prospect of all the amazing food ahead of me. I have 3 days in SIN before I head off to HK: 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners. I'm staying in the Bugis area, and willing to head to far off neighborhoods to eat.

If you were me and you had this limited time in SIN, what would you do/eat? I want to sample all the classics, especially sup tulang, chili crab, Hainan chicken, fish head noodle soup (primarily, and secondarily fish head curry)... I'm already overwhelmed just thinking about what I need to try. Any suggestions to help my head stop spinning? I'm open to keeping all my meals to hawker centres, which limits me to 8 hawker centres for 8 meals. One of the dinners must be en-route or close-ish to the airport, since I plan to shovel food in my mouth and run to my flight right after.

Secondarily, also looking for reccs for Siem Reap, also my first time there. I have a dinner res for Cuisine Wat Damnak, and that's all I know about Cambodian food so far. Would love some hole-in-the-wall suggestions.

Thanks in advance!
