Silvertone & Stoddards

RPW02114 | May 10, 201006:24 AM     9

I tend to pretty much be dining creature of habit and round robin through the same 7-10 places all the time. I eat out a lot and it is just easier to frequent places that have become familiar, sometimes adding or deleting one. This past weekend I made the decision to "venture out" and hit 2 places I had never been.....Silvertone & Stoddards.

For a while I have noted all of the positive press on Silvertones on this board and walk by it all the time. Went there Friday night and it was pretty clear why folks like this place. Ate at the bar (the steak tips were excellent).

I hit up Stoddards on Saturday night and had one of the best burgers I have had in a long time (along with an order of the home made "pot of pickles). Started out with martinis and then ventured into trying one of their many beer selections. I noted a clown shoes ale on the list and gave that a try. My server/bartender was great (providing tastes of 2 other clown shoes ales for me to experience). Am not typically a beer drinker, but experimenting can be fun.

Now that I will be adding 2 new places to me expending "short list" what do others recommend trying for menu or cocktails at these 2 places.
