Intrigued by the signs near the road offering peaches, I pulled into Silvas Orchards (2599 Freedom Blvd, Watsonville, CA) . This is actually across the street and a little bit south of Silvas Apple Orchards (2642 Freedom Blvd., Watsonville, CA) that I assume goes to the packing shed.

Following the signs in the driveway, I pulled up to a small shed that had one forlorn box of Early Rosa peaches, $12, left. I ended up not buying them since I had already stocked up on stone fruit elsewhere. But I was glad to have visited this self-service farmstand, as it will have apples for sale soon. The many varieties are described on its website.
