I love a good sign. Wing's Restaurant on the edge of San Jose's Japantown has a good sign. Flashing neon, it has a curled artitistic flourish above a very stylish cursive neon WING'S. Inside you climb a flight of stairs where the darkish dining room is oddly partioned into quasi-booths containing one or two tables. The staff is friendly and kind and the food is decidely old school Chinese but the funkiness can't be beat. Seeing your dining partner's face crimson hued every three seconds only adds to the mood. Maybe a good sign is not always a good sign of what is inside
but rarely does it alone detract from the experience.
Does anyone have a favorite restaurant sign in the area?
