In Sunday's Washington Post he reviews Four and Twenty Blackbirds in Flint Hill, VA. While I have not been in about a year or so, based on at least ten meals over the past half dozen years this is one of my favorite restaurants. I am shocked that he only gave it two stars. For myself I would have given it three feeling that it if it were on, say, K street it would be the equal of Kinkead's or Vidalia.
Has anyone been recently? Has it gone downhill? She changes her menu every month or so and it is possible that the menu he experienced isn't quite on the level of what she has done in the past. Still, Four a Twenty Blackbirds, is 90% as good as The Inn. Or at least it was. For 25% of the price.
