I've been invited to a friend's Memorial Day cookout. My friend asked me to bring "a side dish that's not a salad" (someone else has been asked to bring a salad). Do you think that salads that don't include leafy greens would be ok (for example, watermelon and feta salad, or orzo salad, or caprese salad)? The only other things I can think of would need to be served hot (like corn on the cob with fun toppings). Can you help me think of something I can prepare at home, serve room temp or cold, and that is not considered a salad? Many thanks.
