Long story short somebody must of mistook my Global 8 inch chefs knife or theirs and I ended up with their scratched, beat up, and dull as heck version.
I'm pretty pissed since know I gotta sharpen this "new" Global knife just to make it usable. Luckily I am in between new jobs for now but I want a new knife since I've been meaning to get one for a while.
The only reason I'm even looking at the Shun Fuji is because I'll be coming into possession of $300 in Williams Sonoma gift cards. Otherwise I would look up a decent $200-250 knife from the Japanese online retailers.
