My local supermarket had a great deal on large half chickens, so I cooked a bunch and now have a giant bowl of somewhat shredded white meat. It's too much for me at once so can I simply freeze in a big bag and use over the next few weeks... or should I divide them into portions and mix with sauces such as BBQ, green chile, curry sauce, etc - then put them in bags and freeze?
I'll eventually use them in such sauces, but I'm not sure if there's an advantage to freezing the chicken as is, or will it freeze better (or better absorb the flavors) if I mix, then freeze.
Any thought on strategy? Thanks in advance!
