NYC 'hound begs for advice: for 2 or 3 dinners (a friday, sat and sunday in January), what would you recommend? price isn't as important as honesty in the kitchen and intelligence and control (whether the place is hushed and fancy or busy and casual) in the dining room. For example, is The Herb Farm great (say a Norhtwestern French Laundry) or is it an overhyped ego trip in the vein of the Inn at Little Washington? And what of Lampreia, Rover's, Fuller's or Mistral? Or Monsoon or Sanmi Sushi? I recall a good meal some years ('97?) back at flying fish and a mediocre one at Campagne, so I need whatever help you Seattle folks can offer. Thanks.
