if you're out near Shenandoah...

Stayed out in Washington, VA this weekend to do some hiking in Shenandoah National Park. If you can't afford a dinner at the Inn (or don't have the conscience that allows you to spend $500 on a meal), here's a recommendation for a moderately priced, cute little restaurant. It's called Thorton River Grille and it's right in the town of Sperryville, a few miles away from Skyline Drive. Had a wonderful grilled salmon with an apple chutney, asparagus, and rice ($18) and my husband had the seared tuna salad ($10), which came with a pesto dressing, goat cheese, tomatoes, and grilled onions. He loved it. The place definitely exceeded our expectations.
