Visited this resto over the weekend after pouring over trip advisor and Chow boards for the best place to go. Decided to ignore the poor reviews from 2008 and give it a try. We have 2 kids and did not feel like the fine dining atmosphere. After arriving, we were told there would be a 45 mintue wait but after 20, we were seated in the back bar area in a booth. Perfect. I ordered the steamed clam appetizer-so good but garlic city. Love garlic but hate the after effects. My DH and I ordered the steak and cake. I saw the prime rib as we walked in and was sold. The horseradish sauce for dipping was excellent. He ordered the filet. People who order steak medium well must like show leather. They have to slice the steak in two to get it at that temp. I always yell at my DH and he always regrets his MW decision. He still liked it. The crab cakes were not that great, not even close to the Baltimore style that I love but still not very tasty. My daughter had the Chicken Teriyaki. Soo good, very juicy and flavorful. She loved it! Son had the kids burger, if he ate it, it must have been good, he is very picky. I know I said I love this place even despite the crabcakes and here is why: It is great to bring kids, the views are awesome, the wait staff extremely helpful and attentive but not over the top, and there were so many good things to choose from, I had a very hard time deciding what to get. We can't wait to go back! We love the type of place that is casual, fun and has a great atmosphere.
