This place is one of our regular stop. On Monday, we stopped over (four of us) for lunch. We took advantage of their LUNCH SPECIAL at the steam table. This is another winner restaurant - cheap eat place. It served home style cooking but delicious. For something like $4, you can get three items heaped on a decent size plate. Rice is served separately for only pennies. If you don't ask, they will give you porridge(not my favorite)instead. The selections at the steam table is huge. All of them are very tasty. At dinner, they have pricier items like fish, etc. You can also order off the menu - hint: they have english menu if you ask for it, it comes in a small folded paper.
Here is what we ordered
-Salt pepper shrimp: with shells on, bits of garlics and scallions still clinging, still has some crunch-tasty.
-Chinese sausage: sliced, a bit sweet and nice resistance.
-Tofu strips with pork strips: sauteed in soy sauce, very nice.
-Twice cooked pork: chunks of pork with some fats in brown coloured sweetish sauce. It also comes with tofu strips shaped into bow ties. Neat and delicious.
-Pork with spicy red sauce: slightly spicy, sweet and salty sauce with bits of scallions and garlics. Superb but oily.
-Napa cabbage sauteed with tiny shrimps and mushrooms.
-Steam fish in soy sauce: ordered off the menu, white fleshed fish, boneless, steamed in soy sauce with slivers of green onion and red chiles.
-Oyster omelette: ordered off the menu, nicely browned fried eggs with small oysters inside.
We shared everything and we loved everything ! Total bill was only like $20 and we were stuffed to the gills.
