Shallow Dutch Ovens

I love the look of the shallow Staub and Le Creuset ovens, but I'm wondering how useful they really are, especially when I already have an LC braiser.

Any thoughts? Anyone have one? What do you use it for? I'm liking the ones in the 3.5 or 4 quart size, about 3 inches deep.
