A relatively traditional, "white tablecloth" Indian place has just opened on Guerrero near 22nd in the space once occupied by the beloved Le Trou and then a series of short-lived successors. Eating there was very pleasant, and the cooking seemed more personalized and ingredients fresher than some of the other mid-priced places that are scattered around the City, and I would recommend it to those living in the Noe Valley/Mission/Castro neighborhoods. Prices are above the Nan and Curry kinds of places and below the Talulla and Gaylord"s places once it is all said and done. The standard fare "rice pudding" was exceptional for some reason, and charging separately for each side condiment and a minimum of $2.50 for rice. was a bit off-putting, but I will definately consider return visits.
