From SF – a three hour tour … a three hour tour

Some hounds from NY new to SF would like to take a weekend trip at the end of October that involves no more than a three hour drive and would like the best food route and destinations. They, of course, would like ‘amazing food’. Some of the suggestions have been:

South – Highway 1 to Big Sur
Lunch in Santa Cruz (Aldo’s on the wharf?)
Alternate lunch – Seaside (suggestions? Ethnic restaurant?)
Perhaps a dinner in Pacific Grove at Passionfish?
What other tasty restaurants are good along this route?

North Along the coast with possible stops at Point Reyes, Bodega Bay and Fort Bragg.
