Sexy vs. Cozy-- Brooklyn restaurants with sex appeal?

JL | Sep 13, 2005 02:19 PM

2 year anniversary in October-- looking through usual suspects in Manhattan for nice, celebratory dinner, it struck me that I wasnt thinking Brooklyn because something in the back of my mind was saying I'd feel out of place in a sexy black dress (man it's hot) at all the good BK places I could think of (Al di La e.g.)-- that Good BK restaurants are always somehow "cozy," (reviews play this up a lot too) and not sexy. Anyone have some counterexamples? A place you could really feel like you were having a fancy night out? Because I'd love to support a Brooklyn place. (I live in Fort Greene.)

PS dont get me wrong. I love the neighborhoodiness; I'm just inquiring.
