Service Station Snacks Counters (moved from Ontario board)

Doctormhl1 | Dec 31, 200910:58 AM

When stopping to fill up the car with gas at a service station that also sells snacks-candy bars, ice cream, soft drinks, etc.,etc, I notice that the prices charged for these items are outrageously high. The prices usually are about double the prices charged at supermarkets or convenience stores.
I wonder what kind of consumer pays these ridiculous prices?
There seems to be a market for what I consider a rip-off because thy remain in business.
Can anyone explain to me why this should be? Thanks.
