What to serve for dinner with new neighbors?

mskilgore | Jan 2, 201506:24 PM     32

We just moved into a new house, and our next door neighbor brought over a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. She left her cell phone number, so i texted her and invited her and her husband over for dinner. They accepted and now I'm at a loss about what to serve.

I did ask about allergies/preferences and she said that they both eat anything/everything (thankfully!). I was considering making a spicy turkey lasagna, which I've made in the past and is generally a hit. What do you think? If i serve lasagna, what should i serve as a side and dessert?

Thanks for your ideas and thoughts!
