Having returned to my usual downmarket ways, I decided to check out the Korean restaurant in downtown New Haven. Eh. We had stone pot bibimbop and kimchee geegae; both were fine, but nothing to write home about. The kimchee dish was actually pretty soupy, and both dishes went overly easy on the meat (my dining companion didn't believe that there was any beef in the bibimbop until I fished out a tiny shred). The service also bordered on indifferent, despite the fact that there were few people in the restaurant. I won't count it out until I find another Korean restaurant in the area, but I can't say I'm rushing back.
