Help with selecting a new cooking range

I have a Bertazzoni range. I love the look of it; it like its cook-top performance; I do not like the oven. I am considering another range. I am a designer, so the aesthetics of function and appearance carry great importance. I am also a cook and a baker, so pure function is of equally great importance. (I am tired of cookies that are too browned on their bottoms and not well enought browned on their tops! Or having to place a 5-qt. dutch oven on a low shelf, insead of a middle one, because it does not fit otherwise. I also like cake layers that do list to one side, pies that are evenly browned top and bottom, and breads with baked middles as well as crusty tops.)

Is there a trustworthy review site of cooking appliances (specifically, ranges) that other readers/cooks swear by and would therefore recommend. Any suggestions? (Consumer reports doesn't seem to grasp design, and is limited.)

I am looking favorably toward some of the new Samsung double ovens (gas) and at the new Frigidaire Professional smoothtop (electric). I doubt that I will go to another “pro-style” range (“faux pro”). But what are your—avid cooks and bakers—suggestions?
