I used to make soy marinated chicken drumsticks years ago and they were always a big hit. I want to make them again but can't remember exactly what I would put in the marinade to make them really packed with umami and flavor. Soy sauce, sugar, chopped garlic, chopped green onions, a dash of vinegar (no alcohol for my recipe), maybe a tiny droplet of sesame oil...what else??? Baked, then finished with a fast broil?
Do you have a tried-and-true recipe for this that you can share? I'd like to take these to a potluck soon and don't want to waste time experimenting and tweaking.
