I am hoping someone out there can give me recommendations for good food in/around/near Estes Park, Colorado. We are seeking good food and like pretty much everything as far as food goes. It can be casual to fine dining. I'm just looking for food that is memorable and above the average (aren't we all, really?) We've been to Ed's Cantina (crowded, but liked it) - all the way to the other end of the scale, The Stanley Hotel (found it noisy on the night we were there as a loud convention crowd took over the entire dining room except for the tiny table they squeezed in to accomodate us! This should have been a strong clue to leave. It took forever for the food to arrive and it was not that memorable. Waiter tried his best, but was overwhelmed by the sheer number of diners and urged us to return at lunch or another night. We never did.) So, anyone have any dining experiences they are willing to share? Good or bad? I'd appreciate any insights. Thanks!
