Seeking Info on Brooklyn Homebrewing Resources

I've been out of homebrewing mode for a while now, but figure it's getting time to start again. I seriously HATE paying $10 for a six pack of beer on my way home, (all the more so when I have to do it again and again day after day).

Still, I haven't done it in a while and I wasn't satisfied with my techniques when I did do it. I know there's gotta be a large and well-trained homebrewing army in the 718 area code. I know Biercraft in Park Slope has some stuff, but I'm not fully informed about what they actually do. I'm really interested in clubs or shops that do demonstrations from time to time - I know where to get supplies.

So, any homebrewers out there?
