I've already ordered the standing rib roast for Christmas dinner (Devon Meat Market, an outstanding butcher--thanks G Wiv.) Now I need a dessert. Can anyone recommend a bakery that does a particularly good buche de noel or yule log? Northwest side and suburbs preferred, but I can also do north side and downtown. I supect some of the Polish bakeries in Jefferson and Gladstone Park or Niles and Morton Grove might be potential candidates, but thought I'd throw it out here for recommendations.
