Seeking advice on F. Dick sharpening steels

damiano | Jul 20, 202002:15 AM     116

I've been looking into sharpening steels and have now focused on the following two potential buys.

1) F. Dick Multicut - see https://www.chefknivestogo.com/fdicfi...

2) F. Dick Dickoron duo - see https://www.markusheucher.com/en/dick...

As I have little to no knowledge on sharpening steels, other than that F. Dick is the brand to buy, I'd appreciate any info on which one to get.

I'm looking for a simple sharpening steel for home use. I like both of these as they seem to be multifunctional, and I'm not planning on getting more than 1 steel. For me the price of both is the same using amazon. Thanks!

PS my knives are mostly Japanese and German carbon steel, around 58-62 hrc. I use waterstones for actual sharpening.
