Seattle Pub with good food?

This has probably been done before, but I couldn't find the thread...

Are there any pubs in Seattle with good food to match the good beer? So far, have tried:

74th St. Ale House -- They made the over-under with overpriced, overfussy, overcooked, underwhelming chow. And what's up with no frites?

Pig & Whistle (Greenwood & 85th) -- The less said the better.

Hale's (Fremont/Ballard) -- *Great* beer. Mediocre food.

McMenamin's (Theatre District, Lower Queen Anne)-- I love the Terminator, but the kitchen is unimpressive.

Red Door (Fremont) -- The one exception to the rule, with tasty chowder.

Rock Bottom Brewery (Downtown) -- Competent beer, although I'd say too polished. Kind of like listening to a Muzak rendition of "Whole Lotta Love." But after the food came out, I thought I'd accidentally slipped into TGIFriday's.

I'm looking for the trifecta: good craft beer, good pub atmosphere, and food that makes me go, "Wow!" There will probably be a deep-fryer involved, but it's still gotta be made with love.

I've been to their San Jose and San Francisco outposts, neither of which has been particularly encouraging. But I haven't tried the Seattle place yet.
