Has anyone seasoned a cast iron with rice bran oil?? If so, please tell me how you did it.

Rice Bran Oil has a smoke point of 490. Whenever I season it at temperature above 450, the oils burns and I am left with little islands of seasoning. That is, black islands in a sea of gray cast iron.
