This is for a friend (I'm not really a cookie fan myself).
She is looking for three specific types of cookie commonly found in italian bakeries (in Boston, though she says she's found them elsewhere, and pale imitations of them at regular supermarkets as well).
The first are called Champagne cookies, and she didn't really describe them beyond that.
The second are like macaroons but with pistachios, and apparently they're green in color and are incredibly rich/buttery. She thinks they are called Sicilian macaroons.
The last are fig filled italian cookies. again, little description.
Anyone have any ideas?
