I'm usually not a fan of the "please look at the places I've picked to go so that I can validate my ability to pick cool, terrific places without ever having set foot in them" type posts but here I am hypocritically writing one. Hopefully my honesty will be rewarded with some constructive critiques.
Staying in the 3rd Arr for a little over a week in the 2nd week of Sept. Planning to mix dining out, both casual and up, with homemade meals at the apartment we've rented. Given the decrepit state of the US dollar this will be a fairly low key vacation. Here's the lowdown:
Current dinner reservations:
Chez L'ami Jean
Passage 52 (going to drop as prices have gone up since ** were awarded)
L'Astrance (definitely dropping after getting price for menu)
Jadis (thinking of dropping because of location)
Places without reservations yet but will try when they reopen:
La Verre Vole (for Sunday dinner)
Place that I'm sick of calling and getting the answering machine and am thinking of just saying f-ck it if because they make it beyond a pain to make a reservation:
As for cooking at home, we'll be close to the Enfants Rouge market and am thinking I'd be able to find quality ingredients there. If anyone is familiar with the area and knows of outdoor markets I'd appreciate recommendations.
Thnaks much in advance for your comments.
