Hi. My hubby, who grew up in Taiwan, And I are venturing to NY for some good eatin. We are in search of stuff we can't seem to find in Chicago. He is craving the savory hot soymilk w/ scallions, mustard root, pork & fried bread in it. It's a Taiwanese breakfast that he can only seem to find in LA. Any clues on where to find it? It's called dao jhung.(spelling?)
He also is craving fresh sugarcane juice. Any ideas?
Plus, I read once about a hole in the wall that only serves French Fries. Yum. Is this true? Where?
Thanks for your help. Looking forward to chowing down. I've been pulling suggestions off the board to go to.
